The Disintegration Collaboration
This is a collection of paper and tyvek with doodles and stampings that's on its way outside, where it will live until May 1st, hanging from a tree outside my studio. This is part of a collaboration sponsored by Seth, at The Altered Page. Other participants have tied their paper bundles up with string, metal wire, chicken wire, etc. I am going to hang my pages outside, utilizing an uninspired, but effective tool... the mesh laundry bag and shower curtain hook.
Cool, huh?!?
I'll let you know how it all looks come spring... hard to picture what it will look like, but hopefully something cool will come of it. Stay tuned! Oh, and don't forget...
GO MAKE SOMETHING!
I can't wait to see how the bag effects the disintegration!

Fun idea - and efficient, I am sure. You may even end up with an altered mesh laundry bag too!! ;)
I hung my bundle on the washing line with a clothes peg... the wind tore it down. Now I am using five clothes pegs!

It's cool! I think it's going to be so interesting to see your papers in May....you'll be able to use them in their faded and torn beauty.

Great idea Kathy. Definitely more fun than laundry! I bet you will have some great disintegration come May 1. Glad you decided to join.
